Franklin Dog Park is strategically positioned along a key community thoroughfare, offering convenient access to nearby shops, playgrounds, and a local school. This central location made it an ideal setting for a new community asset, enhancing both accessibility and visibility within the suburb.
MADE LA led the delivery of the project, commencing with site investigations and tree assessments to ensure environmental and site constraints were well understood from the outset. Following this, the team developed a robust concept design, which was refined through detailed design and documentation processes. MADE LA also provided construction supervision services (PAP) to ensure the integrity of the design intent was maintained throughout the build.
The completed dog park has quickly become a highly valued and well-used amenity for the local community. It promotes active, outdoor lifestyles and provides a safe, inclusive space for residents and their pets to interact and socialise. In addition to its recreational benefits, the project has made a positive environmental contribution through the planting of over 90 new trees across the site. This not only enhances the park’s aesthetic appeal but also significantly contributes to the local urban tree canopy, improving shade, biodiversity, and long-term climate resilience.
